The smash bag is usually recommended by several golf instructors. The coaching aid stops the golf club at impact within the correct position. whereas its not identical as hitting the golf balls at impact its provides one the right feeling, balance and position. This correct position will then be repeated. This resistance may be transferred to hitting the golf balls on the vary. Being new to golf I found the smash bag terribly useful in obtaining the right feel at impact. I even have used it repeatedly as a coaching tool.
